Denver Westies West Coast Swing Performance Team
Each year, our performance team brings together dancers who want to push past the basics and discover what they're really capable of. Under the choreography and coaching of All-Star instructors, team members learn a full routine over a multi-month season, then take it to the stage at local venues and conventions including SwingTime, Denver's largest national West Coast Swing event.
Why join a performance team?
Learning choreography is one of the fastest ways to level up your dancing. When you drill a routine week after week, patterns and technique stop being something you think about and become muscle memory. You'll deepen your understanding of musicality, sharpen your connection and timing, and gain a level of polish that's hard to build on the social floor alone.
But the routine is only half of it. A team is a community. You'll spend the season alongside dancers who are just as committed to growing as you are, rotating partners, learning from one another, and building friendships that last well beyond the final performance. Whether you're there to chase the stage or simply to grow as a dancer, you'll come out the other side stronger, more confident, and more connected to the local scene.
Performing is always optional. Some dancers join purely to build their skills without the pressure of being on stage, and that's completely welcome.
